He belongs to the Republican Party and previously held the position of the 42nd lieutenant governor of Idaho from 2009 to 2019. Before that, he served as an Idaho state senator from 2001 to 2009. Emmett, Idaho, is the birthplace and hometown of Bradley Little. He completed his education at Emmett High School in 1972 and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1976, majoring in agribusiness. Before his political career, he worked as a rancher and businessman.
Governor Dirk Kempthorne appointed Little to the Idaho State Senate in 2001. Following his appointment, he successfully won a full term in 2002 and continued to serve until 2009. That year, Governor Butch Otter appointed Little as the lieutenant governor of Idaho. During his tenure as lieutenant governor, Little held responsibility for overseeing the Idaho Department of Commerce and the Idaho Department of Labor. On several occasions, he also served as the acting governor under Governor Otter.
