Air India plane crashed conveying 184 travelers including 10 babies, which was originating from Dubai, while arriving at Karipur Airport in Kozhikode on Friday evening. Kondotty Police said that Dubai-Kozhikode Air India flight (IX-1344) slipped during arriving at Karipur air terminal at around 7.45 pm today. Air India Express said that there were six group individuals on board including two pilots. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has requested a definite investigation into the occurrence.

PM Narendra Modi addressed Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan who him that a group of authorities including Kozhikode and Malappuram District Collectors and IG Ashok Yadav have shown up at the air terminal and are taking an interest in the salvage activity, Kerala CMO said.
External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said that “Deeply distressed to hear about the Air India Express tragedy at Kozhikode. Prayers are with the bereaved families and those injured. We are ascertaining further details.”
Amit Shah in a tweet from his official account said, “Distressed to learn about the tragic accident of Air India Express aircraft in Kozhikode, Kerala. Have instructed NDRF to reach the site at the earliest and assist with the rescue operations.”

What is the reason behind the Air India Plane Crash?
Reason Behind Air India Plane crash is Excessive rain and lack of visibility on the runway, there is excessive rain in the region and as of now, the plane crash is being attributed to the heavy rain going around in the area, there have also been landslides in the area due to the ongoing heavy rains.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said the plane fell into a valley and severed in two in the wake of sliding the finish of the runway. Pictures conveyed by media show the airplane broken into two pieces.

This reminds us of the 2010 plane crash, where On 22 May 2010, a Boeing 737-800 traveler fly working Air India Express Flight 812 from Dubai to Mangalore, India, slammed on arriving at Mangalore. The skipper had proceeded with an unstabilized approach, in spite of three calls from the First Officer to “go around”, bringing about the airplane overshooting the runway. This lead to more than 150 casualties.
