Mumbai: The Supreme Court Of India has upheld the situation of government hospitals in Delhi, which treat COVID patients. Some of the footage shown by the media is horrifying. Patients are rushing toward hospitalization. However, in some hospitals, the beds are empty.

Patients do not have an entrance. The supreme court bench comprising Justices Ashok Bhushan, Sanjay Kishan Kaul, and MR Shasha said the situation in Delhi is critical following COVID-19.

The Supreme Court has observed that the bodies of those who are affected by COVID are recovered from the garbage heap. In Delhi, the authorities are kept in the corridors of hospitals and waiting centers. The Supreme Court is considering a voluntary hearing on issues including disrespect for the body of COVID patients.

The Supreme Court questioned the state government’s attorney why the amount of COVID tests in Delhi is so low.

Compared to places like Chennai and Mumbai, the inspection is minimal. It is the responsibility of all states to increase the number of reviews.

There should not be a situation where people have to wait in line at hospitals and labs forever to get tested.

The Supreme Court also directed the states to follow the directions given by the central government.
