Pro-Palestinian protesters slammed Actor Alec Baldwin as he entered into a heated clash with the protestors in New York.
Here are the details of the news.
Alec Baldwin Clashes With Protester Over ‘Stupid Question’
A video showing actor Alec Baldwin arguing with pro-Palestinian protesters over what he referred to as “Stupid Question” has occupied numerous social media platforms.
The incident occurred Monday evening when Baldwin walked near the pro-Palestinian demonstration in Manhattan. Soon, the protesters crowded the actor and began accusing him of supporting Israel in its war with Hamas.
The ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, which is part of a long Israeli-Palestinian war, began on October 7, 2023, when the Hamas-led Palestinian militant groups attacked Israel from the Gaza Strip with a barrage of rockets, killing 1,139 lives, including 695 Israeli civilians, 373 security forces personnel, and 71 foreigners. Following the attack, the Israeli military retaliated by launching airstrikes. As of December 19, 2023, over 19,000 Palestinians, including over 8,000 children, have died in the war.
Protest Dynamics and Baldwin’s Reactions
The videos shared by pedestrians on X (Twitter) show Baldwin clashing with protesters when they asked him whether he supported Israel.
A protester asked Baldwin, “You work for Hollywood, do you condemn Israel?”
Baldwin replied, “You have already made up your mind, every question you’ve got, right? I’m in Hollywood’s pockets, you said? You ask stupid questions. Ask me a smart question. Ask a smart question.”
The shared video on social media also shows that the arguments intensified to the level that several police officers surrounded Baldwin and accompanied him out of the crowd. However, the reason for the clash is still unclear.
