Recently Radio Times conducted a survey last week, in which around 14,000 people participated and voted for their favorite James Bond actor. The audiences have voted for Sean Connery as the best James Bond, and this is something that everyone quite expected as Sean Connery was at his finest as James Bond on screens. He is undoubtedly regarded as not only the first but the best on-screen 007. What shocked everyone was the actor who came to a second-place as the best, which is Timothy Dalton.
When this news surfaced the internet that Timothy Dalton was chosen as the second-best, the Daily Telegraph article called “Dalton’s placing above Pierce Brosnan – a ‘big surprise.’ Indeed, one would have expected the much-loved Roger Moore, who is almost as synonymous with the role as Connery, to have at least garnered the runners-up spot.” Timothy Dalton, in an interview during 1986, said, “I intend to approach this project with a sense of responsibility to the work of Ian Fleming.”
